Dan Sayre has been a trusted ally in the Maine House, working to bring innovation to Maine’s economy and to advance social justice. I am eager to welcome him to the Senate to work with us on policies that will drive growth to benefit all Mainers.
-

Joe Rafferty, Current Senator for District 34
When I decided not to run for re-election, Dan was the first person I thought of to take my place. I wanted to leave our District in good hands. Dan displayed commitment and dedication to his constituents while serving in the House. I know he will do the same for all in our Senate District.
-

Teresa Pierce, Senate Majority Leader
Dan’s commitment to growing Maine’s economy through his work on the Growth and Innovation Caucus shows that he understands the issues facing our State. He will be a great asset to the Maine Senate.
-

Steven Sawyer, Chairperson, Democrats of the Kennebunks and Arundel
What impresses me most about Dan is not simply his positions on the issues, but the kind of person he is. He listens carefully, approaches difficult questions thoughtfully, and understands that representing a community means working with people who may not always agree with you.
-

Jon Dykstra, Kennebunkport Selectman
I am voting for Dan to represent us in Senate District 34 because he’s been an impressive leader, collaborator, and innovator during his four years in the House. I’m impressed that his website shows not only what he believes about issues of importance to Mainers, but also what actions he’s already taken, or will take, to address them. He has a solid track record of supporting efforts that seek to improve our environment, economy, and overall quality of life.
As our State Senator, he will lead with integrity, intelligence, and ingenuity.
-

Jim Smith, Selectman for the Town of Wells
Dan Sayre is an experienced legislator who works hard, does his homework, and listens to his constituents. I have had a number of conversations with him about topics that I am familiar with. He asks the right questions and formulates reasoned conclusions. For the above reasons I support his campaign, and wholeheartedy endorse his candidacy for Maine State Senate District 34.
-

Cynthia Dubea, Wells
While serving in the Maine House of Representatives, Dan consistently demonstrated his commitment to protecting our civil liberties, advancing our voting rights, and correcting socioeconomic inequalities that have long affected some of our fellow Mainers. We can expect no less from him if he is elected to serve in the Maine Senate. Dan’s integrity, intelligence, and heart are his strengths. I will be casting my vote for Dan. I hope you will, too.

Alan McGoldrick, Peter Sasso, Wells
We proudly support Rep. Dan Sayre in his campaign for State Senator. Dan has been a strong advocate throughout his years as a State Representative and we believe Dan will be a strong voice for our community in the Senate. During service in the House, Dan has consistently worked to support Maine families, backing the expansion of Maine’s Child Tax Credit and helping enact the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act, which provides income protection for working families. Dan has also championed efforts to strengthen the childcare workforce, expand apprenticeship programs, and secure cost-of-living increases for essential direct care workers.
Dan has shown a strong commitment to public service and to creating opportunities for future generations. At a time when many voters are concerned about special interests in politics, Dan remains focused on the needs of families and communities.
The message is clear: Dan is committed to serving the people of Maine.

Linda DeFelice, Kennebunk
As a member of the Maine AI Task Force, Dan recognizes the value in finding balance between acknowledging the potential benefits of AI and protecting our communities from privacy, economic, and environmental risks. Based on his collaborative policy making approach and STEM background, I am very confident in Dan’s expertise to develop a sound AI regulatory framework for Maine. Dan has my enthusiastic support for Senate!

Jonathan Whitehouse, Kennebunk
I feel that the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act that Dan supported in his first term, is just a down payment for his goal of affordable living in Maine. You should not have to be wealthy to put a roof over your head and food on the table. You should not have to move out of your home to live somewhere less expensive because property taxes have become unaffordable. If we were all millionaires, we would not have to worry about these issues, but we are not.
I think that Dan’s approach to affordability via a comprehensive package of sales, property, and tax reform would help more Mainers attain and maintain a livable, affordable, lifestyle.
I would like healthcare to be viewed as a right, not an unaffordable option. We need to keep our rural hospitals open.
Thank you Dan for your service and your efforts to make Maine affordable.
-

Michelle McGuire, Kennebunk
Dan Sayre has been diligently working to provide affordable housing to our town for years. As a small business owner, affordable housing for my staff has been nearly impossible in past years. Dan has been the voice protecting small business interests by providing investment in low housing tax credits and helping to attain affordable housing.
Dan understands we are all symbiotic and need to work across the aisle to meet all of our interests.
-

Gae Carbone, Kennebunk
As the federal government has made enormous cuts to healthcare funding Dan’s record as our state representative shows that he has worked tirelessly to keep local hospitals and healthcare agencies open, especially in rural communities. Dan has also worked to expand the healthcare workforce in Maine. If you, like me, have tried to make an appointment with a specialist, needed to find a new primary care physician, or have spent time in an understaffed facility you understand the importance of this continued work. And, as our representative, he has worked to prohibit medical debt to be listed on our credit reports.
I believe that as our new state senator Dan will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all of the people of Maine have affordable and accessible quality healthcare. This is one of the many reasons that I am voting to elect Dan Sayre as our senator. I’m encouraging you to join me.
Dan has shown a strong commitment to public service and to creating opportunities for future generations. At a time when many voters are concerned about special interests in politics, Dan remains focused on the needs of families and communities.
The message is clear: Dan is committed to serving the people of Maine.

Louise Sandmeyer, Kennebunk
As an older woman who marched for the passage of Roe v Wade in 1973 and have daughters and granddaughters, access to reproductive healthcare is a priority I share with Dan. Dan has worked to ensure that funding and access are maintained for behavioral health, abortion, reproductive healthcare including contraception and cancer screening. For these reasons, I endorse Dan Sayre.

Gabby Grekin, Kennebunkport
I am writing to encourage residents in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells, Berwick and North Berwick to recognize the opportunity we have to elect an exceptionally qualified and worthwhile candidate for Maine State Senate District 34.
He brings expertise and experience in shaping policy around technology, education, economic growth and innovation. His background as a STEM consultant informs a passion for enacting economic strategies balanced by commitment to environmental sustainability.
-

Karen Plattes, Member, Kennebunk Select Board
I’m happy to endorse Dan Sayre for State Senate. As a two-term State Representative, he has demonstrated his commitment to his constituents by carefully listening and representing local needs and viewpoints in Augusta.

Christian Babcock, Kennebunk
Dan’s priorities reflect what most of us care about day to day. He's fought to keep public education strong and to open up affordable pathways into good careers for Maine students. He understands that protecting our land, air, and water isn't a luxury — it's tied directly to the livelihoods so many Mainers depend on. And he's worked to expand access to affordable housing and quality healthcare. Maine needs steady, principled leadership right now. Dan Sayre has earned my vote, and I hope he'll earn yours too.

Charles Parent, Berwick
This is why I support Dan Sayre for Maine Senate.
Dan Sayre will help to regulate AI data centers so we will be protected from the environmental, economic and human costs associated with them.
Dan will help protect the public lands we all depend on and treasure. He will hold companies accountable for polluting the environment and make them pay for cleaning up their mess. Dan will be a strong advocate for renewable energy and upgrading the grid to meet increased supply and demand. These are some of the reasons I support Dan Sayre for Maine Senate District 34.
-

Janet Campagna Chair, Wells Democratic Town Committee
Dan has a proven track record of standing up for the rights of all Mainers and taking direct action to address our most acute local needs. Throughout his public service, he has consistently fought for marriage equality, supported tribal rights, strengthened child services, and secured critical support for emergency shelters and food insecurity programs. Furthermore, his firm stance on protecting individuals from sexual harassment underscores his deep commitment to dignity and safety across our communities.
What sets Dan apart is his ability to bridge political divides. Much of his work has been genuinely bipartisan, yet he remains uncompromisingly clear on his core values and priorities. He understands that we can grow Maine’s economy in smart, sustainable ways that protect our environment and local character for generations to come.

Martha Foley, Kennebunk
Dan Sayre is committed to improving the lives of Mainers, especially those who may not have a voice or power. As an educator, I support his common-sense votes to fund education in local communities and post-secondary programs that give kids a chance and boost our workforce. He helps ensure that our teachers are paid fairly for the important work they do and that our students are fed and free of distractions so that they are ready to learn. Dan communicates with his constituents and lawmakers across the aisle to make our government work for us.
-

Karen Ropes
I’m supporting Dan Sayre as our next state senator for District 34. Dan has proven himself as a member of the House of Representatives for 2 terms. Dan is an honest, compassionate, effective leader. As a retired educator, I’m aware of his accomplishments in the area of education. Dan supported an emergency educational grant for our post-secondary students with disabilities. Dan supported increased oversight over charter schools. He backed budgets supporting the 55% state commitment to provide essential programs and services to our public schools. Dan kept our community college tuition free for our most recent graduates.
There is no question in my mind: Vote for Dan Sayre November 3.
-

Lynda Wilson-Dinino
Hi, my name is Linda Wilson Dinino and I live in Kennebunk and I support Dan Sayre for the Maine senate race. As an educator, I am tuned into certain issues such as affordability, education, AI, gun safety and more. Dan has shown through his actions that he supports the American dream, not the billionaire class. He has helped pass laws that support the workforce as well as business owners. He has helped to clear paths for childcare centers. He supports K12 funding. He believes in regulating AI and data centers. He believes in common sense gun safety laws.
I fully support Dan Sayre in his bid for Senate.
-

Avery Seuter - Wells Select Board
This November, Wells voters will consider a data center moratorium! In the State House,
Dan Sayre has been a consistent voice to protect our rate payers and natural resources against the excesses of big tech. With a proposed facility right over our town line, this issue has become uncomfortably local and increasingly urgent. We need an advocate with a strong track record to get this under control. That is one of the many reasons that
I look forward to casting my vote for Dan Sayre!

Teri Collard & Paul Coughlin, Kennebunk
Dan is committed to strengthening education, lowering costs and fighting to ensure all Mainers can live, work and age with grace in our state. Dan believes Mainers deserve leaders who prioritize results over politics and he is passionate about growing and diversifying Maine’s economy. We hope you’ll join us in voting for Dan this November.

Diane Dowglielewicz, Kennebunk
I’m proud to endorse Dan, who understands that strong communities begin with caring for people and the places they call home. His commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable, particularly for people living in rural Maine, reflects the kind of practical, compassionate leadership our state needs.
Just as important to me is Dan’s commitment to protecting Maine’s environment and natural resources. The health of our people and the health of our communities go hand in hand. As a mom of two young kids who is absolutely scared for our planets’ future, I believe we must do everything we can for our environment. Maine deserves leaders who care about our people, our environment, and the future we are building together.
