Current Senator for District 34“When I decided not to run for re-election, Dan was the first person I thought of to take my place. I wanted to leave our District in good hands. Dan displayed commitment and dedication to his constituents while serving in the House. I know he will do the same for all in our Senate District.”

Wells, MaineWe proudly support Rep. Dan Sayre in his campaign for State Senator. Dan has been a strong advocate throughout his years as a State Representative and we believe Dan will be a strong voice for our community in the Senate. During service in the House, Dan has consistently worked to support Maine families, backing the expansion of Maine’s Child Tax Credit and helping enact the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act, which provides income protection for working families. Dan has also championed efforts to strengthen the childcare workforce, expand apprenticeship programs, and secure cost-of-living increases for essential direct care workers.
Dan has shown a strong commitment to public service and to creating opportunities for future generations. At a time when many voters are concerned about special interests in politics, Dan remains focused on the needs of families and communities.
The message is clear: Dan is committed to serving the people of Maine.

Kennebunk, MaineAs an older woman who marched for the passage of Roe v Wade in 1973 and have daughters and granddaughters, access to reproductive healthcare is a priority I share with Dan. Dan has worked to ensure that funding and access are maintained for behavioral health, abortion, reproductive healthcare including contraception and cancer screening. For these reasons, I endorse Dan Sayre.

Kennebunkport SelectmanI am voting for Dan to represent us in Senate District 34 because he’s been an impressive leader, collaborator, and innovator during his four years in the House. I’m impressed that his website shows not only what he believes about issues of importance to Mainers, but also what actions he’s already taken, or will take, to address them. He has a solid track record of supporting efforts that seek to improve our environment, economy, and overall quality of life.
As our State Senator, he will lead with integrity, intelligence, and ingenuity.

Steven Sawyer, Chairperson, Democrats of the Kennebunks and ArundelWhat impresses me most about Dan is not simply his positions on the issues, but the kind of person he is. He listens carefully, approaches difficult questions thoughtfully, and understands that representing a community means working with people who may not always agree with you.

Kennebunk, MaineDan’s priorities reflect what most of us care about day to day. He's fought to keep public education strong and to open up affordable pathways into good careers for Maine students. He understands that protecting our land, air, and water isn't a luxury — it's tied directly to the livelihoods so many Mainers depend on. And he's worked to expand access to affordable housing and quality healthcare. Maine needs steady, principled leadership right now. Dan Sayre has earned my vote, and I hope he'll earn yours too.

Kennebunk, MaineDan Sayer has been diligently working to provide affordable housing to our town for years. As a small business owner, affordable housing for my staff has been nearly impossible in past years. Dan has been the voice protecting small business interests by providing investment in low housing tax credits and helping to attain affordable housing.
Dan understands we are all symbiotic and need to work across the aisle to meet all of our interests.

Based on his collaborative policy making approach and STEM background, I am very confident in Dan’s expertise to develop a sound AI regulatory framework for Maine. Dan has my enthusiastic support for Senate!

While serving in the Maine House of Representatives, Dan consistently demonstrated his commitment to protecting our civil liberties, advancing our voting rights, and correcting socioeconomic inequalities that have long affected some of our fellow Mainers. We can expect no less from him if he is elected to serve in the Maine Senate. Dan’s integrity, intelligence, and heart are his strengths. I will be casting my vote for Dan. I hope you will, too.

Kennebunk, MaineI feel that the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act that Dan supported in his first term, is just a down payment for his goal of affordable living in Maine. You should not have to be wealthy to put a roof over your head and food on the table. You should not have to move out of your home to live somewhere less expensive because property taxes have become unaffordable. If we were all millionaires, we would not have to worry about these issues, but we are not.
I think that Dan’s approach to affordability via a comprehensive package of sales, property, and tax reform would help more Mainers attain and maintain a livable, affordable, lifestyle.
I would like healthcare to be viewed as a right, not an unaffordable option. We need to keep our rural hospitals open.
Thank you Dan for your service and your efforts to make Maine affordable.

KennebunkAs the federal government has made enormous cuts to healthcare funding Dan’s record as our state representative shows that he has worked tirelessly to keep local hospitals and healthcare agencies open, especially in rural communities. Dan has also worked to expand the healthcare workforce in Maine. If you, like me, have tried to make an appointment with a specialist, needed to find a new primary care physician, or have spent time in an understaffed facility you understand the importance of this continued work. And, as our representative, he has worked to prohibit medical debt to be listed on our credit reports.
I believe that as our new state senator Dan will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all of the people of Maine have affordable and accessible quality healthcare. This is one of the many reasons that I am voting to elect Dan Sayre as our senator. I’m encouraging you to join me.
